Chris is new to Watermark from Denver, Colorado. He moved because of a job transfer, and found Watermark in his search for a new apartment in Chicagoland. We sat with Chris to hear more about his experiences with Watermark so far. (And we’re going to keep it real, here, and include his one major complaint…get ready!)

How did you hear about Watermark?

We lived in Chicago about 4-5 years ago and had a house in Carpentersville. We wanted to try to get something off Randall Road, and luckily these were there.

Why did you choose Watermark?

They are very nice, number one. It’s where I wanted to be in the area. The floorplans and amenities, cabinets, countertops, all that good stuff. I didn’t realize one thing that is a problem for me, though—the smoking rules. There is nowhere on the property where smoking is allowed—not even a designated area in the parking lot. It’s frustrating to have to leave the whole complex every few hours. 

What are your favorite features of your apartment and why?

The appliances and openness of everything. It’s a very new design.

What are your favorite overall community features/amenities and why?

The indoor garage is nice—I have my truck there because of the weather. The gym is nice, and the trash receptacle is down the hall so you don’t have to go outside to the dumpster. 

What do you like about the Watermark location?

It’s nice because it’s just off the freeway—I have to drive downtown 3 days a week, so I can jump on the freeway and go. And there’s shopping in Algonquin—everything we need. 

Why should people looking for an apartment choose Watermark?

It’s a nice apartment, newer, open floorplans, the nice kitchens, and bathrooms. 

Any other thoughts?

Everything is great. I give you guys a 10 on everything, aside from the smoking issue.

Yes, Chris is right, Watermark is a no smoking campus. This works really well and is a desirable trait for a lot of people (although we can see that it would be frustrating for people who smoke). Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Watermark, Chris!
